Founded in 2008, Audiowood is specialised in creating wooden audio gears. We like their philosophy of producing reasonably priced, stylish, high quality products that are sustainably produced.
The design of the audiowood barky turntable by Joel Scilley is a classic vinyl experience. The merge of two different materials, solid ash and glass, makes every piece unique in design. Barky is produced in a limited edition of 10 to 15 per year on average.
The turntable features a high-quality Rega parts kit, glass platter, RB303 arm and Rega Bias cartridge. The solid ash round is finished with polyurethane and paste wax, and has adjustable solid-brass spike feet. Pricetag $1.500 (€1.175).
Audiowood designs have graced the pages of over 20 major international magazines like Metropolitan Home, Zink, California Home and Design, Velvet (Italy), Daily Mail (UK) etc. and several online design magazines and blogs.
Captain Kirk spins the Bachelor Turntable in Paramount Pictures' Star Trek: Into Darkness. Collaborations with SHFT.com, Bushmills, and VNYLST.com on various advertising and web projects are currently planned.
