The combination of minimalistic design, traditional craft knowledge and exclusive materials are the core of Walter Steigers creations. Many of them changed the entire shoe industry and are considered classics.
The 'Steiger' Made to Measure Atelier was founded in 1932 in Geneva. Walter Steiger junior launched his first ready-to-wear line in 1966, and opened the first store in Paris in 1974 followed by the boutiques in New York and London, after gaining the knowledge of the traditional techniques utilized by his father. Giulio and Paul Steiger are now the third generation to carry on the company The ''Steiger Bottier' opened in 2009. The studio in Paris is dedicated to serve excellence made-to-measure shoes for men and women. Today, they work with some of the leading fashion houses and designers, e.g. Calvin Klein, Karl Lagerfeld, Nina Ricci and Oscar de la Renta. Prices range from $500 into the thousands.
